The approximately 22.5 miles of railroad tracks in the City of Evanston traveled by CTA, Metra, and freight trains.

As a part of the Field Operations Division, the Community Policing Unit's uniformed officers provide motorized patrol along with highly visible foot and bike patrol in neighborhoods.
